Statistics

Statistics define your character's general capabilities. They can naturally range from 1-100 before racial and other bonuses.

Stats are mostly used during skill checks. When a stat is used in skill checks, it provides a +1 bonus to your offense for every point above 50 and a -1 penalty to your offense for every point below 50.

Statistic Description
Dexterity Dexterity is your character's ability to deliberately act in a coordinated manner. Dexterity helps with lockpicking, disarming traps, working with some mechanisms, accuracy with most weapons, accuracy with bolt-type spells, damage with precision and ranged wepaons, hiding, moving stealthily, and stealing.

Mechanically, every point of dexterity above 50 adds 1% to your archery and precision weapon damage. Hybrid weapons and hybrid martial arts moves choose the better of either your dexterity or strength.
Endurance Endurance is your character's physical toughness. Endurance helps with having higher stamina, having higher vitality, and resisting and reducing special physical effects like poison and bleeding.

Mechanically, every point of endurance adds 1 to your character's vitality and 2 to your character's stamina.
Intelligence Intelligence helps with having more essence, a greater capacity to retain experience, alchemy, and the strength of some spells.

Mechanically, every point of intelligence adds 1 to your character's essence. Every point of intelligence above 50 increases your experience buffer's capacity by 1% and every point of intelligence below 50 decreases your experience buffer's capacity by 1%.
Reasoning Reasoning helps with arcane magic, using some mechanisms, disabling traps, lockpicking, and tactics.
Reflexes Reflexes is your character's ability to react swiftly. Reflexes helps with parrying and dodging.
Strength Strength is your character's physical strength. It helps your character inflict more damaging melee and thrown physical attacks, carry and drag heavier loads, and swing heavier weapons.

Mechanically, every point of strength above 50 adds 1% to your damage with force weapons and every point of strength below 50 subtracts 1% from your melee and thrown damage. Hybrid weapons and hybrid martial arts moves choose the better of either your dexterity or strength.
Will Will helps with vedic magic, resisting special mental effects, and having more willpower.

Mechanically, every point of will adds 1 to your character's willpower.
Wisdom Wisdom helps with astral magic, lore, fishing, foraging, skinning, summoning, tracking, observation, handling animals, applying first aid.
